Life always gives us exactly the teacher we need at every moment. This includes every mosquito, every misfortune, every red light, every traffic jam, every obnoxious supervisor (or employee), every illness, every loss, every moment of joy or depression, every addiction, every piece of garbage, every breath. Every moment is the guru.
~ Joko Beck
Frenetic and frantic both mean fast and wild, but frenetic focuses on a fast, high-energy pace, while frantic focuses on deep worry, panic, or fear.
Affluenza is a portmanteau of “affluence” and “influenza” that describes a social condition marked by overconsumption, materialism, and a lack of empathy. It is defined as a painful, contagious condition of overload, debt, anxiety, and waste resulting from the dogged pursuit of more.
The paradox of limitation: the more you try to manage your time with the goal of achieving a feeling of total control, and freedom from the inevitable constraints of being human, the more stressful, empty, and frustrating life gets. But the more you confront the facts of finitude instead—and work with them, rather than against them—the more productive, meaningful, and joyful life becomes.

I’m a complicated human being. I have strengths and limitations. There are parts of me that need attention and growth. And none of that cancels my basic worth.
It never ceases to amaze me: we all love ourselves more than other people, but care more about their opinion than our own.

It has been a week since I came back from the 5-day silent retreat. My takeaway from it was that I’d try to incorporate mindfulness into my daily life. It has not been easy but I’m going to keep at it.
I’m bummed that Microsoft is going to train their models on GitHub Copilot interaction data for free, pro and pro+ users by default unless opted out. I understand this for free but pro and pro+ should be opt-in, not opt-out.
I’m not planning to watch or follow IPL this year as two months of daily cricket is a little bit too much for me to handle.
